The Sales Development (SD) Manager is responsible for managing a team of 6-8 Sales Development Representative (SDRs) and will report directly to the Global Head of Sales Development. The role will focus on prioritizing new business activities, managing inbound marketing /cold call campaigns and generating revenue for Cognex. The Manager will also work directly with the Sales and Marketing leadership.
The person perfect for this role:
  • Is Number and Results Driven: Will Support the SDR team as they conduct daily inbound and outbound activities and will help them achieve both team and individual targets
  • Works with the Sales Teams and Sales Leadership: Will work together with the Sales and Marketing Teams on campaigns, plays and resources while building a strong and collaborative relationship with the Sales and Marketing leadership
  • Sees Mentoring, Training and Coaching as critical to the team's success: Will guide the SDR team on improving their business acumen, prospecting and objection handling
They will help the team to overcome any performance gaps and feel a sense of belonging to Cognex. They will deliver regular formal and informal feedback to help the team with their professional development and future careers.
  • Manages the team's Daily/weekly/monthly Operations: Will use a metrics-based approach to reporting (call and email outcomes, meetings created, scheduled, attended, opportunities converted, pipeline and revenue generated). They will report regularly on the team’s activities and results to marketing and sales leadership
  • Has a Passion for Technology: Cognex is the world's leading provider of vision systems, manufacturing AI software, sensors, and industrial barcode readers. The SD manager will have a passion for technology within the industry and will assist the team in focusing on upskilling product and industry knowledge

We are Looking for a driven Team Leader Who:
  • Has a minimum of 3+ years of experience within varying aspects of sales, sales development and/or territory management
  • Has 2+ years of direct people management experience
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably with a major in marketing, business, or management, an advantage but not required
  • Has experience with management of staff productivity and incentive campaigns
  • Are effective time managers with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrate exceptional passion, emotional intelligence, maturity, and good judgement
